About Fischer LP Gas
Where we came from.
Mark and Teresa Fischer began Fischer LP Gas in 1987. The company's purpose was to fill small cylinders for local residents, campers and propane grills. However, they quickly saw a need to expand their business to service residential propane tanks.
In 1991, Fischer LP invested in large propane tanks to begin installing at households. With a trailer and minimal equipment, they began servicing the small community of Wellston, Michigan.
Over the next 20 years the company stretched their borders, servicing customers within a 2-hour radius of their small hometown business.
Much of Mr. and Mrs. Fischer's success is rooted in being known as a "friendly, small-town business," having a business model based on serving the community like you serve your family.
Recent growth in the company...

2014: Opened a second branch in Baldwin, Michigan. This office services customers south of Bitely, west to Branch and east to Reed City.

2015: Opened a third branch in Free Soil, Michigan. This branch serves parts of Manistee all the way south to Hart and east to Branch.

2017: Opened a fourth branch in Marion, Michigan. This branch services customers as far east as Harrison and north as Manton.

2020: Opened the fifth branch in Hesperia, Michigan. This branch services the local area, including Montague, Whitehall, Walkerville, Newaygo and other surrounding communities.

2021: Newest office to open and the sixth branch in Kinglsey, Michigan. This branch services the Grand Traverse Area including Mesick, Buckley, Copmish, Thompsonville and Manton.
